Worth Property Services is a local, independent firm specialising in Residential Lettings and Property Management in the Devon/Somerset area that includes the villages of Hemyock, Churchinford, Clayhidon, Culmstock, Dunkeswell and Uffculme and surrounding hamlets such as: Ashill, Blackborough, Bolham Water, Churchstanton, Craddick, Culm Davy, Culmhead, Luppitt, Nicholshayne, Prescott, Rosemary Lane, Sampford Moor, Sheldon, Smeatharpe, Voxmoor and Wrangway.

The Blackdown Hills is becoming more and more popular due to its location, a tranquil and unspoilt rural area and is ideally placed being central to all major towns.

Hemyock, where our office is based, is the largest village in the Blackdown Hills, which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Along with the nearby villages of Uffculme, Dunkeswell and Churchinford it is ideally situated for commuters to the cities of Exeter and Bristol and towns of Taunton, Wellington, Honiton and Tiverton.

Motorway access is achieved either at Wellington or Tiverton (M5, 10 mins) with journey times to Exeter of 30 mins and Bristol 45 mins. There are major rail networks with stations at Tiverton, Taunton and Honiton. There are bus routes in and around the Blackdown Hills with a regular service between Hemyock and Taunton.

Hemyock is a busy village, with a Primary School, Pre-school, Doctors Surgery, 2 Garages, a Veterinary Surgery, 2 Hairdressers, a Pub, a Bank, 2 Shops - one with a Post Office, 2 Playing Fields – Cricket Pitch, 2 Football Pitches, a Floodlit Football Astroturf and Tennis Courts, Bowling Club, a Café/ Fish and Chip Shop, a Parish Hall and 2 Churches.

Uffculme has a comprehensive school of 875 pupils aged from 11-16 serving a large area with an intake of 150 each year. It is currently the top performing comprehensive school in Devon and classed as an outstanding school by Ofsted in 2007/08.
